The Indian Valley Riding and Roping Club has been a Taylorsville, CA institution for the past 72 years. The IVRRC is a non-profit group that works to maintain our local rodeo grounds and sponsors several annual events that promote tourism and put Plumas County on the map. The 4th of July Silver Buckle Rodeo was started in 1949 and is the backbone of the Taylorsville 4th of July celebration that includes the parade, pancake breakfast, jackpot roping and the Grange Hall dances. This event fills the local county campgrounds and brings the biggest crowds of the year to Taylorsville. The Taylorsville Junior Rodeo is in its 21st year and annually draws a contestant list that represents youth rodeo from all around Northern California, Nevada and Oregon. The IVRRC also has a yearly calendar that includes a full spectrum of "horsey" events. Some events planned for this year include competitive trail riding, horse camping, gymkhana, roping, rodeo as well as sponsoring guest clinicians. We also sponsor an annual scholarship to encourage Plumas County youth to pursue higher education.
We invite you to take part in this local tradition. The success of the IVRRC is directly related to local sponsors who kindly offer their support.
